Conference MDAngle offers personal perspectives from conference attendees, showcasing their anticipation, quick takeaways, and insights into how the presented research will affect their patients.

The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CSMC) Annual Meeting took place in Nashville, Tennessee from May 29 to June 1. The meeting featured symposia, roundtables, clinical courses, and workshops in MS care over 4 days.  Renowned experts led accredited education sessions on comprehensive care, disease modification, research, mental health, rehabilitation, and wellness.

Carrie Hersh, DO, MSc

Associate Professor of Neurology, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio; Director of Multiple Sclerosis Health and Wellness Program, Associate Program Director, MS Fellowship, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Las Vegas, Nevada

"The CMSC 2024 Annual Meeting offered comprehensive clinical insights that can enhance patient management practices, emphasizing the integration of new technologies, the importance of medication adherence, the effectiveness of various treatments in real-world practice and in more diverse patient populations, and addressing systemic challenges within the healthcare system."

Annalisa Morgan, MD

Clinical Fellow, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut

"Now having had some more time to reflect on what I heard at CMSC this year, I think that where some of this data will influence my clinical practice the most is in our patients with new-onset, highly inflammatory relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. And like most providers in the United States, I tend to favor an early high-efficacy therapy approach in these patients from multiple perspectives, including efficacy, side-effect profile, convenience, and family planning considerations."
